When your stomach is growling, it's hard to focus — let alone learn. But in southwest Missouri, hunger is a reality for far too many children. This September, you can help raise awareness and provide meals by participating in Ozarks Food Harvest's Hunger Action Month, presented by Central Bank.
1 in 4 children in southwest Missouri face hunger. All proceeds from this month-long campaign benefit our Weekend Backpack Program. Through support from generous people like you, we can ensure that children in the Ozarks have enough food to live healthy, energetic lives.

"When I'm hungry, I feel depressed. Thank you to the people who help provide me food on the weekend. I feel ready to play after I get to bring home food for the weekends. My favorite part about the Weekend Backpack Program is the juice boxes."
- Aubrey, age 8

"I really like the peaches in my bag. We wouldn't have enough food without my bag."
- Karter, age 5

"It feels good to get a food bag because it helps my family so they don't have to spend all their money on food. And to save our money to get a football so me and my dad can practice."
- Bentley, age 10
